Help Romania's working horses

There are around 50,000 working horses in Romania. Many of them are owned by the local Roma communities who rely on them for both work and transportation.

The horses often have to pull heavy carriages on busy roads, exposing them to loud noises and pollution. Most of them lack proper farriery which takes a heavy toll on their joints. 

Due to a lack of financial resources, many owners can't give the horses the medical care they require. Because of this lack of medical attention, many of the horses suffer from colics, lameness and other ailments. 

The FOUR PAWS team wants to improve the health-, working- and living- conditions of these horses. Not only does our team offer free medical assistance to the horses, but it also educates the population on how to properly care for them on a daily basis.
