On the 1st of October, after a long journey, Simba and his siblings have finally arrived at our FELIDA Big Cat Sanctuary! Our team has carefully unloaded the lions and released them into their new enclosure.

FELIDA Big Cat Sanctuary is the Dutch big cat rescue centre of FOUR PAWS. 

In the past few years, we have transferred multiple animals to LIONSROCK, the FOUR PAWS Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa.

Unfortunately, this future is not realistic for most of the animals still at FELIDA. As a result of years of suffering in captivity, with inadequate nutrition and lack of medical care, these animals are not strong enough to undertake the journey to South Africa. 

The FELIDA Big Cat Centre, therefore, offers them the best possible care until they've regained their strength or for the rest of their lives
