Cat slaughterhouse closure

Update: Our team arrived to rescue 20 cats and five dogs from this slaughterhouse location. All will are transported to our Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh where they received medical treatment and comprehensive vet checks.

Through our investigations, we have witnessed shocking cruelty at a cat slaughterhouse and restaurant in the heart of the "Cat Meat Capital" city of Thai Binh, Vietnam. While the venue is relatively small, hundreds of cats and dogs are being brutally killed there every year. Black cats are often targeted in very high demand for their perceived medicinal properties.

They are stolen from families or taken off the streets all over the country and are then transported to this inconspicuous facility for 'processing'. What happens in there is too horrible that we could not show you!

But there is a glimmer of hope: A window of opportunity has opened for us, together with our coalition partners, we hope to close this business for good, and rescue all animals on-site!

Rescued cats and dogs will be immediately taken to safety, assessed, given veterinary care, and eventually available for adoption to loving homes. But we must act fast!

With your help, we can close this slaughterhouse and restaurant for good, spare thousands of animals from a painful death, and give the rescued animals a life that they deserve.
