A second chance for trafficked cubs

Update May 2019:

Despite initial fears that Mi might not make it after being taken from her mother at only a couple weeks old, both cubs are now healthy and happy. The FOUR PAWS Vietnam team worked day and night to help the cubs build enough strength despite being trafficked at such a young and vulnerable age and robbed of the nutrients they desperately needed from their mother.

Now, the two are growing stronger every day.

Unfortunately, the only milk formula adapted to their needs is very expensive and hard to come by in Vietnam. With your help, we want to make sure that we have enough until the two are old enough to transition to solid foods.

Help Mi and Tam by donating today!

Bear cubs Mi and Tam only narrowly escaped a gruesome fate. Destined for a ruthless buyer, they were illegally trafficked through Vietnam and one can only imagine where they could have ended up. The demand for bear products such as bear bile or bear paw wine is still rampant and thousands of bears suffer for it across Asia.

Thankfully, the two cubs were saved in time and will never be hurt again. As they are only a few weeks old, they need very special around-the-clock care at our BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh. Even though the bear team is incredibly experienced, the days without their mother have taken a heavy toll on the young cubs.

Please support our fight in giving Mi and Tam the best possible start into their new lives.
